Manage HubSpot Forms

Provide a complete guide for creating, configuring, and managing HubSpot forms, including form actions and submission analysis.

Create a Form

Navigate to Marketing → Forms in the main menu. You'll see a list of all existing forms in your portal.
Click the 'Create Form' button in the top right corner.
Select the type of form you need: Standalone Page Form (hosted on its own HubSpot landing page), Embedded Form (placed on an external website), or Popup Form (appears as a pop-up, slide-in, or dropdown banner).
Choose a template or start from scratch, then click Next to enter the form editor.
Drag and drop fields from the left panel to your form. Click on a field to edit its properties such as required status, placeholder text, or options.
Use the 'Progressive Fields' option to replace already-known visitor data with new fields.
Click Save once all changes are made.

Setting Up Form Actions

Navigate to the 'Automations' tab to configure actions after form submission: send an automatic thank-you email, redirect the user to a thank-you page, create a CRM contact record, or trigger a workflow for lead nurturing.

Managing Form Submissions

Click 'View Submissions' to preview form performance, analyse submissions, and review individual entries. This includes: Performance (tracks key metrics like views, submissions, and conversion rates), Submissions (displays all completed form entries for lead management and follow-up), and Analysis (provides insights into form trends, field performance, and submission sources to optimise conversions).
On the Submissions tab, hover over a contact submission and click 'View' to display an overview of the submitted form details, including contact information and responses.

Notes

Progressive fields help reduce friction by avoiding repeated questions for known contacts.
Form analytics include views, submissions, conversion rates, and field-level performance.
