Setting Barcodes in Cin7
How to set a barcode for a product in Cin7 by copying the SKU into the Barcode field. This ensures products can be scanned via the Cin7 mobile app and labels can be printed correctly.
Steps to Follow
Go to Inventory → Products and open the product.
Copy the SKU value.
Paste the SKU into the Barcode field.
Click Save.
Print a label to verify the barcode is correct.
Use Cases
New products that have been received but don't yet have a barcode set.
Before printing product labels for warehouse use.
When setting up Expo Max products for the first time.
Notes
Barcodes are not set automatically — this must be done manually per product.
The Cin7 mobile app can scan these barcodes to look up the product SKU.
Oval counters and tracks may still need barcodes set — Expo Max products were done first.
