HubSpot Calling Not Working or Keeps Loading

Quick troubleshooting steps to resolve HubSpot calling issues before escalating to support. Covers the most common causes including browser issues, VPN interference, and platform-wide outages.

Steps to Follow

Check HubSpot's status page first at status.hubspot.com. If there is a known incident affecting calling, nothing on your end will fix it — wait for HubSpot to resolve it.
HubSpot Status Page
Determine if it is affecting one person or everyone. If only one person is affected, the issue is almost certainly local — browser, extensions, or network. If everyone is affected, skip to step 5.
Hard refresh the page using Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac, then try calling again.
Disable browser extensions — especially ad blockers or privacy extensions — and try again. These commonly block HubSpot's calling widget from loading.
Try a different browser. Chrome is the most compatible browser for HubSpot calling. If the issue only appears in one browser, that browser's settings or extensions are the cause.
Check if a VPN is active. If yes, turn it off and try again. VPNs frequently interfere with VOIP calls.
Check microphone permissions. In Chrome, go to Settings → Privacy and Security → Site Settings → Microphone and confirm HubSpot (app.hubspot.com) is allowed.
Reset the calling widget. Close the browser completely including any separate Call windows that may be open. Reopen the browser and navigate back to HubSpot fresh.
If the issue affects everyone and the status page shows no incident, check your internet connection speed and stability. HubSpot uses VOIP which requires a stable connection. If you are on a corporate or office network, the firewall may be blocking Twilio's calling ports — contact your network administrator.
If none of the above resolves the issue, contact HubSpot Support via the Help chat inside HubSpot (faster than submitting a ticket). They may ask you to provide a HAR file and browser console screenshot for diagnosis.

Notes

The calling widget spinning indefinitely is almost always a browser or extension issue, not a network issue — start with the browser steps.
HubSpot calling uses Twilio VOIP, not traditional phone lines. It requires stable internet and specific network ports to be open.
If on a corporate network and calling never works, ask IT to whitelist IP range 168.86.128.0/18 and allow UDP ports 10000–60000.
HubSpot Support SLA is 24 hours for tickets. Use the live chat option in HubSpot for faster response.
Only one Sales Seat is currently assigned. If the seat holder is unable to call and basic troubleshooting fails, escalate to Ryner.
